Heating film under a floating floor

When installing under a floating floor, it is necessary to follow this composition for the proper functioning of the heating film:

  • Floating floor.
  • LDPE vapor barrier film 0.2 mm, which protects the film from moisture.
  • Heating film.
  • Heat Decor insulation pad or Floor Insulation 6mm under the floating floor. The thickness of the pad is required to accommodate the connectors and connecting wires into the pad.
  • LDPE vapor barrier film 0.2 mm, which protects the film from moisture, on the bottom side.
  • When installing under a vinyl floor, it is necessary to verify the floor composition with the floor supplier. 
  • Floor – the supporting structural element on which the heating system is installed. This can be a wooden construction, OSB board, or concrete screed.
  • Thermostat with floor sensor – the floor sensor is used to control the floor temperature and prevents it from overheating.
